Solana has been making efforts to enter mainstream awareness. The blockchain previously announced a Web3 Android phone, and is now following in the footsteps of NFT brands that have gone to the store, such as
a Bored Ape-themed fast food restaurant that opened in April.
On July 15, it tweeted, “Inside, you’ll learn how Solana works, what Web3 is. We’ll set you up with a wallet and your first NFTs, and guide you through your first transactions on the blockchain.”
He also said Spaces was designed to be a cultural hub and an embassy for Solana.
Not everyone has that person in their life. That’s where we come in.
Spaces is everyone’s first crypto friend.

“We will be a host of events, a launch pad and a purveyor of Solana culture, including a new set of merchandise and frequent limited-edition collaborations with brands inside and outside of crypto,” he added.
In addition to the Phantom wallet setup and the addition of people to Web3, Spaces will also host an interactive art installation and sell Solana-branded merchandise featuring phrases commonly used in the Web3 community, such as “degen” and “WAGMI.”
Solana-branded merchandise includes limited-edition Blanksoles sweaters, hats, socks and sneakers.
Shoppers who paid for their purchases with Solana Pay got 50% off their bills.
There are also tutorials on the move-to-earn app, STEPN, and Magic Eden. Visitors can also check out Solana Saga, the blockchain’s Web3 phone.
Solana Spaces has yet to officially open its doors to the public, but gave a select group of 30 visitors a sneak preview of the store this past weekend.
However, Solana has yet to reveal the official date of Spaces’ grand opening.
Despite its unsavory reputation for frequent network shutdowns, Solana is currently one of the 10 largest cryptocurrencies by market cap.
In the past year, it has gained considerable traction and a growing user base due to its high speeds, low congestion and low fees.
With the physical storefront, Solana could turn its image around and, if not, play a role in driving mass adoption of Web3.
