The iconic Playboy brand, announced the introduction of its famous “Bunny Mansion” within The Sandbox metaverse, its name will be “MetaMansion”.
This initiative gives continuity to the trend where companies from different areas, enter virtual worlds to reach a new type of audience.

What is Playboy MetaMansion?
MetaMansion will be a virtual space where users will be able to enjoy games, interact live with other people through their avatars and digital collections.
This partnership between The Sandbox and Playboy is considered as the return of the bunny brand to the Web 3.0 space, in which since 2021 launched its first NFT collection, titled Liquid Summer, composed of digital artwork.
In October 2021, the brand launched its second NFT project, called Playboy Rabbitars. These pieces will have use in the metaverse and will become a VIP pass just like The Sandbox lands.
Playboy’s director of brand and strategy, Rachel Webber, stated that they are thrilled to be working with The Sandbox team to create a premium and personalized experience within the metaverse.
She further stated, “We look forward to inviting our global Playboy fan base, and in particular our Rabbitar community and owners of The Sandbox LAND, into this new immersive world of Playboy.”
The MetaMansion will be an immersive, social interactive game at The Sandbox and there will also be event programming, NFT releases and more.
All Playboy activations in The Sandbox are inspired by the magazine’s 70-year history, as well as its content library, art collection and the long list of iconic events held at the Playboy Mansion.
Rabbitar NFT holders will get special utility when it comes to the Playboy MetaMansion in The Sandbox.
Rabbitar holders will have special VIP access to experiences, quests, gifts and more.
In addition, Rabbitar holders will also be able to help shape the future of the MetaMansion.
The Playboy Mansion in the Metaverse
Playboy now has its own “Playboy MetaMansion” channel on the Sandbox Discord.
Rabbitar holders will be able to verify their NFT to obtain a “Playboy Rabbitar” role, so they will be eligible for special access, gifts and other benefits in the future.
It is worth mentioning that there will be updates about the MetaMansion on both the Playboy Discord server and the Playboy channel on The Sandbox server.
Playboy has not given any dates at this time, but will work with The Sandbox to share updates on the MetaMansion experience schedule and when Playboy LAND will be unveiled.
