This initiative will be integrated into the existing “Google for Startups Cloud Program,” but with additional perks designed for the Web3 sector.
Eligibility for the Program
Startups and projects at various stages of development, from pre-seed to Series A, will have the option to opt-in for the new benefits when applying for the Google for Startups Cloud Program.
Benefits of the Program
Handpicked startups will have the opportunity to construct decentralized apps (dApps), protocols, or other services on Google Cloud’s platform for free, in addition to receiving access to resources and the community.
The program’s perks include up to $200,000 in Google Cloud credits over two years for companies, as well as utilizing Google’s services to rapidly and securely create their Web3 apps with up to $100,000.
Hands-on Learning Labs
Google’s startup program for Web3 provides entry to cutting-edge hands-on learning labs dedicated to Web3 and the latest Google Cloud technology. These labs will aid developers and entrepreneurs in acquiring valuable expertise and understanding in the Web3 field.
Invite-only Discord Channel
Selected startups will receive an invite to an exclusive Discord channel for sharing knowledge with Google Cloud Web3 product and engineering teams. This channel will provide a platform for developers to connect, collaborate, and share ideas with Google Cloud experts.
Startups will be granted VIP access to global Google Cloud Web3 events, such as Paris Blockchain Week, Consensus, and TOKEN2049 Singapore. These events present excellent opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect with industry leaders and promote their startups.
Grants and Funding Opportunities
Google’s foundation partners, such as Aptos, Celo, Flow, HBAR Foundation, Near, and Solana Foundation, are offering exclusive grants of up to $1 million to foster the growth of Web3 companies, in addition to development resources. The Polygon Ventures Ecosystem Fund will also provide startups with up to $3 million in funding.
