[March 4, 2024] Pixelmon, the groundbreaking decentralized web3 gaming IP, wrapped up its community pre-sale for the Mon Protocol fractionalized IP ecosystem with an astonishing surge of support, hitting 100% of its allocation goal in a mere eight minutes. The pre-sale’s allocation stood at 62,092,000 MON tokens, constituting 6.2% of the total MON token supply of 1 billion. At the time of the sale, the value of the allocated MON tokens amounted to US$7.1 million. The sales concluded after a 48-hour run, ending on January 28, 2024, at 9 AM EST/10 PM GMT+8.
During the pre-sale, Pixelmon introduced several mechanisms aimed at rewarding its long-standing community members. Holders of Pixelmon and Golden Trainer NFTs were guaranteed the opportunity to purchase MON tokens in specified lots, with the rarity of their NFTs determining the number of token lots available to them. Additionally, a segment of the Pixelmon community that contributed to the pre-sale contract entered a waitlist, granting them the chance to acquire token lots through a raffle system. Out of the 21,500 lots available for distribution, 16,821 were allocated to Pixelmon NFT holders, while 4,679 lots were distributed through the waitlist raffle. The total bids tallied up to 56,695 lots.

Each lot in the pre-sale offered 2,888 MON tokens, priced at 0.096 ETH per lot. By the closure of the pre-sale, the value of each MON token had risen to US$0.115. The pre-sale witnessed participation from 11,726 unique wallets, with a commitment of 5,594.304 ETH to the pre-sale contract, valued at US$3,414.70 per ETH, totaling US$19,102,869.87.
Individual raffle results were unveiled on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 9 AM EST/10 PM GMT+8. Following the announcement, users could verify their allocation results and claim refunds simultaneously. Upon the token generation event (TGE), 20% of the pre-sale tokens will be released initially, followed by a six-month period with no token vesting. Subsequently, the remaining 80% will vest over a 24-month period. Beyond the TGE, players who participated in the Mon Protocol Quests will also receive an allocation of MON tokens. To date, over 532,000 wallets and 700,000 X accounts have engaged in the quests, which will continue to offer rewards beyond the TGE.
