Metable, the first metaverse specialized in education, today announces the successful launch of the beta version of its blockchain platform.
Built on the Polygon blockchain, Metable’s virtual world positions itself as the evolution of the traditional model of online education, with a decentralized ecosystem that allows anyone to create and own their virtual school and earn through teaching.
Thanks to blockchain technology, in Metable, students and teachers will also be able to earn royalties from the resale of NFT online courses, which until now could not be done on the web 2.0.
Metable will allow content creators, influencers, and professionals to access new learning experiences and new business models to monetize their skills. The first open beta of Metable’s metaverse was a success, with the (entirely proprietary) infrastructure being able to host over 50 people in multiplayer at the same time without any issues.

Users were able to explore the virtual world, create their own avatars, and interact with each other in a 3D environment integrated with blockchain.
Connected individuals were also able to play quiz games and participate in Treasure Hunt sessions collecting coins scattered throughout the virtual world. In the future, integration with virtual reality and augmented reality will provide the opportunity to create new learning experiences in all sectors of online education.
