Animoca Brands has announced the launch of the official NFT Mocaverse collection. The PFP (Profile Picture) member collection features 8,888 NFT characters divided into five tribes: Dreamers, Builders, Angels, Connectors and Neocapitalists.

Mocaverse NFT
The NFTs were designed specifically for the company’s metaverse projects and represent the values and ethics of Animoca Brands and its subsidiaries.
According to the company, Mocaverse is designed to reinforce Animoca Brands‘ ecosystem of web3 and metaverse projects. According to the announcement, the five tribes are inspired by “the values and ethics shared by Animoca Brands and its portfolio companies and partners.”
Each tribe represents the diverse and complementary characteristics of web3 change agents. The collection is based on four fundamental pillars: learn, play, build and do good. The pillars represent different types of utility, known as kingdoms.
Animoca Brands was one of the web3 companies leading the campaign for the open metaverse and intellectual property rights. In its latest release, the company claims to have invested in more than 380 projects.

Mocaverse is seen as a product that will help strengthen the relationship between Animoca’s huge portfolio of partners and investments.

The community will employ the realms to exchange ideas, learn and grow together. NFT owners will have access to exclusive perks and rewards for all four realms.
These include learning together, playing together through an accelerator program, building together and doing good together by participating in and contributing to social causes.
The company plans to incorporate more utilities and collaborations into Mocaverse in the future as it grows with the ecosystem it represents.
How to get Mocaverse NFTs?
Mocaverse NFTs will be available only to friends and family of Animoca Brands. Others eligible to own them are:
- Retail and institutional investors of Animoca Brands
- Employees of Animoca Brands and its subsidiaries
- Management teams of the companies included in Animoca Brands’ Web3 investment portfolio
- Animoca Brands partners
In addition to these, other eligibility criteria will be announced shortly. Applicants will be granted a quota of ticks, both free and paid.
Other special eligibility criteria for the Mocaverse will be announced shortly. All eligible individuals will receive a free mint quota and a paid mint quota, and should have already received an email to submit their Mocaverse address for the mint event. Access to the collection will initially be restricted to friends and family of Animoca Brands, including its employees, partners and investors.
Mocaverse is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2023 and will only be available to its employees and partners, as well as institutional and retail investors. Management teams of Animoca’s web3 portfolio companies will also have access to Mocaverse.
Of course, this is not Animoca Brands’ first experience with Web3. It recently acquired a majority stake in metaverse music platform Pixelynx, aiming to transform the way fans and artists connect.
Last month it partnered with Cool Cats and OneFootball Labs to launch the “Cool Cats FC” NFT collection and with educational platform TinyTap to auction publishers’ NFTs.
