Pepsi announces its first foray into the innovative and revolutionary world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with the Pepsi Mic Drop genesis NFT collection.
Anchored in the brand’s roots in music, Pepsi is creating 1,893 (to mark the year Pepsi was born) unique genesis-style NFTs that will be released on the Ethereum blockchain tomorrow, Friday, December 10 at 12:00 PM EST, free to users (outside of gas taxes).

The unique generative characteristics of the Pepsi Mic Drop genesis NFTs collection, randomly generated by an algorithm to make each NFT totally unique and different, pay homage to the brand’s history in music and Pepsi’s suite of flavors that have captivated cola-loving consumers for decades.
The Pepsi Mic Drop NFTs will be based on variations of a microphone image and will be inspired by iconic Pepsi flavors such as classic blue Pepsi, silver Diet Pepsi, red Pepsi Wild Cherry, black Pepsi Zero Sugar, fan-favorite Pepsi Crystal and many more.

Pepsi is implementing a waitlist process at the beginning of the user experience to ensure a fair experience for consumers with more manageable gas rates and safe engagement.
The Pepsi Mic Drop waitlist will open beginning Friday, Dec. 10 at 12 p.m. ET at micdrop.pepsi.com
And then:
- On Tuesday, December 14 at 12:30 PM EST, consumers who have been approved on the waitlist will be able to mint one of 1,843 Pepsi Mic Drop NFTs for free (excluding Ethereum gas fees). Consumers should stay tuned, as the remaining 50 NFTs will be reserved for other exciting initiatives in the near future.
- After the consumer is verified, the token will be minted and sent to their wallet.
- Consumers will be able to discover their specific Pepsi Mic Drop NFT and will be able to quote it on OpenSea or any other third-birthday celebration platform at any time, subject to the terms of carrier of the chosen platform.
In line with Pepsi’s brand leadership in emerging marketing practices, Pepsi is implementing a carbon offset program for the Pepsi Mic Drop NFT launch to ensure a net zero carbon footprint.
The Pepsi Mic Drop NFT collection was designed and created with VaynerNFT, a consulting firm that is part of the VaynerX holding company.

Pepsi Mic Drop NFTs will be limited to U.S. persons only. tax residents and participant agrees, as a condition of participation, to provide certain information when requested to establish their tax status.
