Beverage brand and Esports sponsor Mtn Dew will be present at the Decentraland metaverse. Mtn Dew will be at Decentraland from July 14-17 along with PepsiCo Labs, esports powerhouse NYXL and the Call of Duty League (CDL).
The fan event will be a live watch party for the CDL New York Subliners Major IV tournament.
NYSL and @MountainDew are taking Major IV to the metaverse.

Mtn Dew and NYXL in Decentraland
This virtual MTN DEW space in Decentraland would be Mtn Dew’s first foray into the metaverse. Over these four days MTN DEW and eSports fans will be able to watch a live stream of the New York Subliners Major IV tournament.
“The Decentraland event is our commitment to connect with DEW Nation in new and creative ways,” said Pat O’Toole, MTN DEW’s director of marketing. O’Toole continued:
“This event works because MTN DEW fans tell us they are always looking for opportunities to engage with the brand, and Web3 opens up entirely new ways to do that. We think fans are going to like what they see, and there’s more to come.”
The immersive MTN DEW and NYXL experience in Decentraland will feature not only the New York Subliners, but also all of the competing CDL teams.
And in addition to the competition there will be a number of great activations, including DEW-themed wearables and virtual mini-games.
Fans will have the chance to win a RTFKT Clone X NFT and A VIP trip to the CDL Champs 2022 tournament to be held in Los Angeles next August is also on offer.

Decentraland and the brands
Decentraland is one of the most popular and active metaverses today, together with The Sandbox they are the preferred metaverses. Not only for metaverse investors, but also for brands looking to enter the metaverse.
Some of the massive brands and celebrities that have had activations on Decentraland prior to Mtn Dew include: Skechers, Vice, JP Morgan, Jason Derulo and The Migos. In addition it also hosted the AO Decentraland, the first Grand Slam of tennis in the metaverse.
This Mtn Dew and NYXL event in Decentraland will be the first in a series of web3 activations that Mtn Dew’s parent company and PepsiCo will be conducting in the future.
