Kith has finally dropped some details of its partnership with the NFT Invisible Friends project. The collab between the two brands marks another step forward for the successful NFT project.
Details of the Kith x Invisible Friends collaboration
In its announcement about the collaboration, Kith notes that the goal of the partnership with Invisible Friends is to create “an experience that bridges the digital and physical spaces.” Specifically, the two will launch a small collection of special NFTs. In addition, these NFTs will give their holders exclusive access to future installments.

In short, there are 12 “Kith Friends.” These are nine 1-in-1 NFTs and three larger editions. All of these NFTs feature the distinctive Invisible Friends NFT character dressed in custom Kith apparel. In fact, each NFT will sport a look from Kith’s Summer ’22 collections, which are inspired by their store locations.
Basically, the nine 1-of-1 NFTs will go up for auction on OpenSea for 24 hours, with the first sale taking place on May 18 at 11 am EST. Another key point is that proceeds from the sale will go to charity. Specifically, the two will donate the money to the Kings Against Violence Initiative. This Brooklyn, New York non-profit organization is on a mission to address the violence affecting the city’s youth.

The other eight 1-for-1s will be launched the following day, May 19, at 1 p.m. ET. Notably, individuals who win the auctions will receive physical pieces to match the setting worn by the NFT.
NFT holders will get an exclusive mint
The three largest collections of Kith and Invisible Friends NFTs will be available exclusively for Invisible Friends holders to mint. Like the 1-of-1s, these Friends will feature upcoming Kith for Invisible Friends items that only holders will be able to claim. Claiming is scheduled for February 2023.
The unique thing about these Kith NFT Friends is that they will evolve and change outfits throughout the year. These costume changes will reflect the Kith products that holders will have early access to. Clearly, aside from the excitement of partnering with a name as big as Kith, this collaboration presents great utility for Invisible Friends holders.
About Kith
Founded in 2011, Kith operates on two planes: a multi-functional lifestyle brand for men, women and children, as well as a progressive retail outlet. Our seven flagship stores were designed in collaboration with Snarkitecture, as we push the boundaries to offer customers a completely unique experience. We offer a range of premium products, from our own brand to a selection of multi-brand clothing and footwear.
In 2015, Kith Treats was conceived out of a childhood love of cereal and a dream to one day open a cereal bar; now, Treats is present in eight locations and has become a Kith staple. Our brand has also expanded into three stores at Bergdorf Goodman, Hirshleifers and Selfridges. As we embarked on our journey abroad, we knew the right thing to do was to bring a taste of New York with us; together with Major Food Group, we introduced our first restaurant – Sadelle’s at Kith Paris.
Kith was founded by Ronnie Fieg, a prominent figure in the footwear industry, who has over twenty years of hands-on experience. Born and raised in Queens, Fieg has been involved in the footwear industry since he became a stock boy at the New York David Z. franchise at the age of 12.
With unwavering perseverance, he methodically rose through the ranks from floor salesman to assistant manager to head buyer. Collaborating with brands that have stood the test of time, Kith aligns with brands and ideas from Fieg’s childhood that cohesively formalized the roots of his upbringing. Conceptualizing Kith as an extension of himself, Fieg seeks to change the current fashion landscape, while operating under a personal philosophy of giving the consumer more than they pay for.
