[3:00PM SGT, Thursday, 21 August 2025] Two of Southeast Asia’s strongest Web3 communities, Yield Guild Games (YGG) and Pengu Asia — the APAC banner for Pudgy Penguins launched by Igloo Inc.’s new regional arm, Igloo APAC — have joined forces through YGG Play, the publishing arm of YGG, to launch Pengu Wonderland, a new Asia-themed map in LOL Land. Designed for the “Casual Degen,” LOL Land games are snackable, light-hearted, and perfect for playing in the background while chasing memecoins. The latest expansion features IP owned by the Pengu Asia community as well as iconic cultural landmarks from across the region, showcasing how local communities can co-create and part-own the game worlds they play in.
Among the Asian landmarks featured in Pengu Wonderland are China’s Tiantan and Shanghai TV Tower, Vietnam’s Ben Thanh Market, Taiwan’s Taipei 101, Hong Kong’s HSBC Building and iconic red-sail junk boat, Malaysia’s Petronas Twin Towers, Singapore’s Merlion, and a jeepney from the Philippines.

YGG Play, LOL Land and the Pudgy Penguins NFT collections are all powered by Abstract Chain, developed by Igloo Inc., the parent company of Pudgy Penguins. Pengu Wonderland was brought to life using Igloo Inc.’s OverpassIP, a licensing platform that allows Pudgy holders to monetize their NFTs. For the map, YGG Play licensed five Pudgy Penguins and 15 Lil Pudgys from across Asia. Featured community members include Pudgy Penguins holders Brian (#6300), Kinglongwu (#652), and Swam (#2637), and Lil Pudgys holders Elizabeth (#5644), Dan (#18079), Bam (#1586), Symphony (#5743), and Kit (#19084), and more.

YGG Play first worked with Pudgy Penguins by licensing Pudgy IP for the original LOL Land launch in May 2025, which features Pudgy characters on the Ice World Wonderland board. LOL Land’s strong performance — attracting 631,000 monthly active users and 69,000 daily active users in July, with an average spend of US$434 per paying player — set the stage for this game expansion and new collaboration.
The Pengu Wonderland map on LOL Land is available to play at LOL.Land from 3:00PM SGT (GMT+8) on Thursday, 21 August 2025. The launch of the new map coincides with YGG Play and Pudgy Asia’s activation in Bali at Coinfest Asia 2025, where the duo will host the LOL Land Launch Party: Pengu Villa Takeover. This one-night-only celebration promises limited-edition merch, surprise announcements, live play-to-win challenges, and an unforgettable experience reserved for 150 lucky guests.
