December 16, 2024 — Pixels, the largest Web3 game by daily active players, today announced a publishing deal with Crack and Stack to develop and launch Pixel Dungeons which will expand the $PIXEL token utility. Pixels will provide support through insights, data science, and play-to-earn tech. Pixels Reputation System which tracks in-game actions, on-chain holdings, and player activity to identify and reward high-quality, real players will also be integrated.
Pixel Dungeons is a fast-paced game where players dive into dangerous dungeons to collect $PIXEL while battling goblins and other players. Armed with a pickaxe, you have two minutes to collect your loot by mining $PIXEL and using TNT to defeat Goblins — all while avoiding falling into lava. PvP gameplay also allows for sabotaging opponents to claim their treasures, with all rewards transferred directly to players’ wallets upon survival. Featuring both free and premium maps with higher rewards, Pixel Dungeons combines strategy, fun, and high-stakes competition.

In November, Pixels distributed 22 million $PIXEL as rewards, with players reinvesting 11 million $PIXEL in-game, equivalent to over USD 2 million. Revenue has increased by 64% since August, reaching 6.7 million $PIXEL, despite no changes in reward distribution. This improvement raised the payback on $PIXEL rewards from 0.3 to 0.5 within three months. Over the past 30 days, 203,000 unique users spent $PIXEL in-game.
Pixel Dungeons Closed Beta begins December 16th. Players with a reputation score above 3,000 will have early access to both free and premium maps from 4:00 to 8:00 UTC. Starting Wednesday, December 17th, players with a reputation score above 2,000 will be able to access the free map and all players can access Premium Map.
