Crucible has developed the Emergence SDK as part of a suite of world building tools to enable interoperability of digital assets and identities across game worlds, which delivers the benefits of true ownership for all digital creators as the foundation for the open metaverse.
Crucible is also a founder of Open Meta, a community in the thousands of passionate advocates for the open metaverse. The alignment of the two companies on facilitating the acceleration of the open metaverse makes the partnership announced today a significant industry milestone.
The two organisations will work together in multiple ways:
Now, game developers who want to build player experiences for the Futureverse ecosystem can use Emergence to easily get started. This will accelerate the number of games, worlds and other experiences that players can participate in.
Through the integration with Futureverse, Crucible’s Emergence SDK will extend into The Root Network as well as their FuturePass identity and smart wallet technology. On the Unreal marketplace alone, 35,000 developers have downloaded Emergence, and the SDK was recently qualified and launched on Unity store as a verified solution partner.
Developers will be able to easily develop for Futureverse, and tap into an open metaverse ecosystem that includes over 500,000 avatar assets, 550,000+ community members and the largest collection of users, represented by unique wallets, in web3 gaming.
Additionally, Futureverse and Outlier Ventures recently announced the Futureverse Base Camp, an accelerator program that will select a cohort of leading early-stage startups building across The Root Network.
The selected companies will have direct access to Emergence and will be able to leverage its SDKs to build, develop and bring their ideas to life at a faster pace without sacrificing quality.

Crucible has been close with Nvidia generative technology through a partnership in the Inception program. The companies will also collaborate on innovative uses of AI for game and world-building.
“Until now, the lack of tools for true interoperability have held us back,” said Ryan Gill, Founder & CEO of Crucible. “The appetite for more open systems and game worlds is growing, so we built Emergence believing that we’d see the right combination of economics, communities and experiences lead to new momentum in the Open Metaverse. Futureverse is another clear leader in making this happen with the same mindset.” He adds, “We’re proud to be creating a long-term strategic technical and commercial relationship with Futureverse. Our partnership is focused on providing great experiences for both game developers and players so that we can all build and own this together.”
“The Open Metaverse is here. Game engines are more accessible than ever, and AI will only amplify and accelerate their development,” said Aaron McDonald, Co-Founder of Futureverse. “Our partnership with Crucible will empower a new generation of developers to create memorable experiences, and to unlock new utility for all FuturePass holders.”
“The Futureverse investment is a seminal milestone for our strategy with Crucible,” said Ryan Gill. “We’ve been steadily building the technology and securing distribution, not getting caught up in the ups and downs. Now with Futureverse we leap forward into new stages of growth and this partnership has been carefully structured to mark turning the page on a new chapter of this story. This is where it gets fun.”
