BlockDown Festival, the world’s first web3 culture festival with NFT, will take place next week between May 11-13. The festival, which will take place in Šibenik, Croatia, promises to be a festival like no other celebrating all things Web3.
What can BlockDown Festival attendees expect?
Speakers at the festival include Web3 thought leaders such as Aditya Turakhia, Director of Global Institutional Markets at Ripple; Lili Zhao, Director of Ecosystem Growth at Neo; Wes Levitt, Chief Strategy Officer at Theta labs; Kadine James, Creative Technologist at Yahoo; Bruno Škvorc, founder of RMRK; and popular gaming YouTuber Kwebbelkop.

The BlockDown Festival will also focus on music on the Web3. Music industry veterans Paul Sears and Charlie Rapino will discuss how Web3 will shape the music industry in the coming years.
In addition, the festival will include four exciting workshops open to all participants, including a workshop with Neo and a session on digital fashion by The Fabricant. The Human Trust Foundation will also be running the workshop “Becoming Carbon Negative & Planet Positive With Earth Trust – NFTrees”. Finally, Moonbeam – Polkadot’s smart contract parachute – will host the “Launching NFT dApps in an Ethereum-compatible and interoperable environment on Polkadot”.
In addition to these discussions, workshops and formal networking sessions, festival attendees will be able to mingle and network at various boat parties. These include boat rides along the Dalmatian coast, VIP champagne receptions on catamaran trips, yoga and sound healing sessions and much more.
Music events at BlockDown
On the first night, attendees will be treated to DJ sets by Italian Top 100 Beats Mag duo Merk and Kremont, presented by Polkadot NFT music marketplace, Public Pressure. In addition to the musical element, the party will feature cutting-edge augmented reality technology.
On the second night, Web3 DJ Bufalo will showcase his music at the historic St. Michael’s Fortress in Šibenik. The fortress party will also be streamed live at BlockDown’s Rocking Uniquehorns venue in Decentraland.

Last but not least, NFT legend Seedphrase, co-founder of the NFT Party Degenerates collective, will headline the closing party. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy their last night in Croatia at Bullish Beach Club and enjoy explosive sets by Seedphrase and Plastik Funk.
