Binance announced Wednesday that it will test a new NFT ticketing solution in collaboration with Italian soccer team S.S. Lazio for the upcoming 2022/23 season.

Fans will be able to enter the Stadio Olimpico with the NFT ticket developed by Binance. The tickets also give holders access to exclusive benefits such as retail and match discounts, token gifts and other unique experiences.
In addition to verifying the authenticity of tickets, Binance said the goal of this new NFT ticketing solution is to prevent counterfeiting, resale and misuse of tickets, as well as to make ticketing systems more reliable.
In this partnership, fans will be able to claim their NFT tickets for free through Lazio’s official stores, social media and on the Binance Fan Token platform.

The tickets will be available for all S. S. Lazio home matches. To enjoy the full benefits of the tickets, users have to complete identity verification and through the Binance app or website.

This new digital ticketing solution is an extension of Binance’s partnership with Lazio. The two parties reached a two-year jersey sponsorship agreement last October.
In the same month, Binance introduced the sale of Lazio fan tokens on its launch platform.
Binance is not the only platform issuing NFT tokens. Afterparty launched the world’s first NFT-enabled art and music festival held physically in Las Vegas and raised $4 million in unsolicited funding in April.
