THURSDAY, 31 July 2025 – YGG Play, the publishing arm of Yield Guild Games (YGG) and developer of the Casual Degen title LOL Land, has announced its first official third-party publishing partnership with the onchain role-playing game (RPG) Gigaverse. To celebrate the partnership, YGG Play and Gigaverse have launched an activation spanning both their games, including Gigaland, an exclusive Gigaverse-branded board in LOL Land, and LOL Land skins available for a limited time in Gigaverse. Both LOL Land and Gigaverse are available on the consumer-focused Abstract Chain.
Created by GLHF, Gigaverse has already demonstrated strong traction, generating over US$6 million in annualized revenue within its first three months—without external funding, marketing spend or KOL agencies. Through a strategic partnership with YGG Play, the team aims to scale this early momentum. YGG Play will provide targeted support across growth marketing, community engagement, and player acquisition, leveraging its extensive network of gamers, creators, and ecosystem partners.
“Gigaverse is already a great game with fun mechanics and great revenue. Partnering with YGG Play means we can reach an even bigger player base and benefit from YGG’s experience and scale,” said Gigaverse founder, Dith. “It’s rare to find a publisher and partner that just gets gaming culture, has broad market expertise yet deeply understands local nuance, and is able to move at lightning speed. We’re excited for what we’ll achieve together.”
A key component of YGG Play’s publishing model is its smart contract-enforceable revenue share. In a traditional developer–publisher relationship, publishers typically manage distribution, marketing, and revenue collection, with developers relying on periodic payments with limited visibility into real-time earnings. YGG Play introduces a more transparent and verifiable approach, using blockchain infrastructure to record and enforce revenue sharing onchain. This helps foster trust, autonomy, and alignment between publisher and developer, creating a more balanced foundation for building and monetizing games.
“Gigaverse is a perfect fit for YGG Play. Anyone can jump in and start playing,” said Gabby Dizon, co-founder of YGG. “I have Gigaverse on one window and LOL Land on another. These games show how Web3 gaming is catering not just to gamers but also to Web3 natives and Casual Degens.”
A diverse lineup of KOLs will stream their play of LOL Land and Gigaverse concurrently. Elisa, a key figure in the Abstract community, returns for her second LOL Land campaign; YellowPanther, also back for a second round and previously crowned GAM3 Awards 2024 Content Creator of the Year; Iceyyy, the host of crypto gaming news broadcast Gaming Daily; Raiden, founder of the crypto gaming community Kronicles who recently joined YGG as Creator Strategist; and Storming, in his first collaboration with YGG, who leads a vibrant community in Brazil. These are just a few of the standout creators rallying behind this initiative.
