Players will soon be able to play this free MOBA-style game, earning reward tokens along the way. Players will start climbing up and down the leaderboards, accumulating SILK tokens and striving to be the best spider tank pilots.
Being part of the Gala Games ecosystem, playing Spider Tanks requires a Gala Games account. But this one is free, so the official launch is open to everyone!
For players who really want to invest in Spider Tanks, there is still the option to purchase a Planetary Node license.

How to play Spider Tanks?
Players act as Pilots in Spider Tanks. Each pilot needs a tank. And each tank comes with some parts. The most important parts are the Body and the Weapon.
The Body determines how much armor your tank has, how fast it moves and how quickly it recovers energy, which is used to activate abilities.
There are a variety of tank bodies to choose from, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. But you might want an Arma. These come in many options as well.
From a Gatling gun, to guided missiles, to healing turrets, and much more! Your selection of Tanks and Weapons should match your intended play style.
In addition to that, players can equip skins, or paint jobs for their tanks, and equip Props. These are cosmetic items, but some also offer small bonuses.
And finally, each player can choose two abilities for their tank. The abilities take energy to use and have reuse times before they can be used again. Skills include effects such as shields, heals, slowdowns, etc.
The game features several game types, such as Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, and Chicken Chase. Since this is a team-based game, having a complementary group of tanks can make a big difference. Someone playing with a big, slow, high-damage tank? Then you can support him with heals or attacks that slow down your enemies, giving the big tank time to get into position.
Or maybe you want a full team of fast tanks for a capture the flag game. In short, there is a lot of scope for strategic decisions.
The games are usually quite fast. Tanks don’t gain levels or stats during the game. It’s all about going with the right setup and achieving the game objectives for your team.

About Spider Tanks
Spider Tanks is a MOBA style game where you play amazing customizable tanks. The player completes game objectives by controlling their tanks, which can fight on the battlefield.
Each tank in the game is a NFT that players can own or rent to other players. Although the game is free-to-play, only those who own NFTs can earn SILK (SILK is a standard ERC-20 token that is associated with Spider Tanks).
In Spider Tanks, players will earn victory points. The game takes into account how rare the tank’s NFT is and calculates the appropriate amount of Victory Points based on that.
There is an energy rating for each object in the game. As you play with these objects, energy is consumed, which decreases the amount of SILK you earn.
Players may upgrade their NFTs into rarer ones if they wish to increase their rewards (SILK). Although rarer items cost more to repair, they bring with them tons of advantages. The maximum level is 30.
The litepaper also states that there will be a pilot program for free-to-play players where they will be able to rent an NFT (on demand) and participate in play-to-win opportunities.
Tank owners (NFT) can rent their tanks, and Pilots can pick them up and play with them.
Tanks will be randomly assigned to Pilots in the initial phase. The team will work to ensure that the best Pilots are assigned better tanks to rent.
