Cristiano Ronaldo and Binance announced their partnership to take the world of soccer and NFTs “to the next level”. By launching exclusive collections over several years, they aim to incentivize the use of Web3.

Binance and its relationship with soccer
The partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most important with the world of international football, although it is not the first. Previously, Binance was directly linked to the Argentinean Football Association and the Brazilian Football Confederation as a main sponsor.
The exchange platform also reached agreements with European teams, including FC Porto of Portugal and S.S. Lazio of Italy, both of which have Fan Tokens.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s signing with Binance NFT joins the aforementioned in a different way, developing a direct relationship with exclusive NFT collections that are expected to be legendary. The launch of the first collection is expected to be unveiled later this year.
This is not Cristiano Ronaldo’s first experience in the crypto world, as in March of this year, he received Fan Tokens JUV (Juventus FC), in recognition of the goals scored during his time with the Italian team.
For his part, Cristiano Ronaldo indicated the importance of this collection, stating that the fans’ experience is the most valuable thing.
“Nothing is more important to me than the fans, so the idea of creating unprecedented experiences and access through this platform is something I wanted to be a part of.”
Cristiano Ronaldo further said, “I am delighted to announce my partnership with Binance. Together we are going to change the NFT game and take soccer to the next level,” adding “and this is just the beginning.”

Binance’s proposed initiative not only offers a collection to fans, but also promotes awareness about Web 3.0, one of the technology trends in today’s digital space.
Changpeng Zhao, founder and CEO of Binance, also expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, considering that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most prominent soccer players of all time and also becomes an icon in various fields.
