Poster artist Greg Hildebrandt, known for his iconic Star Wars artwork, drops his own collection of NFT. The digital assets will power a blockchain card game called “Rule The Mob.” To do so, Hildebrandt has collaborated with blockchain company web3 Artist Fund and Heavy Metal magazine.

What is Rule The Mob about?

Legendary poster artist Greg Hildebrandt has just started an NFT project, this time in the world of web3: Rule The Mob. This collectible card game stems from Hildebrandt’s brilliant imagination. In essence, players must play against each other and conquer new assets. The winners will officially “rule the mob”.

The team will release more information about the game on May 23. In the meantime, Hildebrandt revealed several NFTs from his unique collection.

Holders will be able to use their collectibles within the Rule The Mob ecosystem as characters. There will be 11 characters and a special tool that can be used for time travel. In addition, each NFT offers virtual perks such as NFT-exclusive airdrops, stakes and more.

Who has Greg Hildebrandt teamed up with for the NFT project?

Hildebrandt’s main partners in the NFT are web3 Artist Fund and Heavy Metal Magazine.

In short, web3 Artist Fund is a blockchain strategy and branding company. Its primary goal is to bring as many iconic content creators into the web3 world as possible. Of course, founder Matt Medney is excited about his NFT partnership with Hildebrandt:

“In bringing that level of talent to the web3 gaming space, we wanted to explore a style that paid homage to his legacy while exploring something more fun, silly and just plain wacky. Rule The Mob brings together the best of Greg and showcases a collection of generative art that provides the framework to his own web3 universe.”

Heavy Metal Magazine also plays a key role in the development of the blockchain game. The publication has been thriving since 1977, supporting unique artists, alternate realities and SF creations.

On May 23, Greg Hildebrandt will unveil the storyline for Rule The Mob. Accordingly, more details will soon be posted on the game’s official website.
