Axie Infinity deployed an update patch on May 5 at 3 o’clock UTC with the aim of improving some details in the balance. This was reported on the official website and on the official server of the project on Discord.

Axie Infinity Origin thus seeks to open the door to a new version that is forceful, clear and strongly rooted in the opinion of the community.

Balance updates in Axie Infinity Origin

Some prominent members of the Axie Infinity community asked the development team to nerf some elements to give the battles a better balance, allowing players to test their skills.

The term nerfing not only in Axie Infinity, but in the world of video games, refers to the decrease of the abilities and skills of various elements in the environment.

Among the elements nerfed in this update we have the following:

Cards:
Cards were generating excessive benefits that decreased the battle balance. Therefore, 19 cards received reductions in their characteristics, mainly those that generate DMG bonus increases.

Other cards that improved abilities when used at the start of battles in Axie Infinity, also reduced some attack characteristics significantly, allowing for more concrete and dynamic games to be executed.

Amulets:
10 amulets were nerfed this time around, mainly in increasing the base stats of cards, mainly attack stats.

An amulet called Discount Coupon has been temporarily removed from the game, which reduced the cost of energies per turn.

Runes:
In this opportunity only the characteristics of two Runes were modified, one where individual attacks now consume part of the shield and another one that makes a card exchange during the turn.

Other changes applied in the patch

If the Axie Infinity team is serious about fixing bugs in the game, it’s the bug fixes. In today’s update, the bug that allowed the Sturdy Fighter Rune to apply the effect to AoE attacks has been fixed.

These types of bugs were reported by the community and the Axie Infinity team is taking note of them to make corrections.

Another new feature of this Axie Infinity Origin patch are the changes regarding the Bloodmoon effect, which will be applied from turn 12 and not on turn 20 as it was previously.
