From March 31 to April 2, Uruguay will host the Campus Party, a science, technology and NFT event sponsored by important organizations such as Binance and Movistar.
The organization of the event, in charge of the blockchain consulting firm “Cryptocity”, concentrates its efforts on making a massive meeting that serves as a link between different actors in the technological field, from companies, communities, public sector to universities.
The Convention Center of Punta del Este, Uruguay, will become from this Thursday, March 31, the venue for this event that has the support of the Municipality of Maldonado, a municipality belonging to the peninsular region of the South American country.
Who will participate in the Punta del Este Campus Party?
The Costa Rican and Deputy Director of the Astrophysics Division of NASA, Sandra Cauffman, will be one of the most important personalities who will be present at the meeting to contribute with her vision about technological developments.
In this edition of Campus Party, the recently incorporated theme “NFT Gaming” will be one of the central points in the midst of its worldwide effervescence.
For the presentation and development of the segment dedicated to NFT Gaming, they did not miss the opportunity to invite notable players, such as Jeff Zirlin, better known as “Jihoz”, co-founder of Axie Infinity, the cryptogame of greater reference in the world, along with the youtuber, entrepreneur and cryptoinfluencer Manuel Terrones Godoy, also known as KManus88.
Axie Lima, one of the main promoters of Axie Infinity, will also participate in this Campus Party in the segment called “Gaming Play-to-Earn or Play-to-Learn? What role do Guilds play?”.
Cesar Vidal Scasso, president of the Electronic and Electromechanical Sports Association of Argentina (ADEEMA), will present the initiatives of this association to support NFT Gaming and eSports. Vidal Scasso states that “monetizing game hours was what eSports was missing, but it still lacks a lot of development”.

Development of the NFT segment in the event
Friday, March 1st will be the day when founders of games such as Vulcano will welcome NFT Gaming for the first time in the history of the event. Jeremías Walsh and Mauricio Novelli, together with Cesar Vidal Scasso will be in charge.
On Saturday, April 2, the main panel about NFT Gaming and metaverse will start with the presentation of Sergio Morales (director of Cryptocity) and Lucca Vila, creator of DCHESS, the first virtual and tokenized chess game to win cryptocurrencies. They will also be joined by the CEO of Cryptomines Reborn, Manuel Torres, who produced the first edition of the game, which became an important phenomenon in the beginning of the Play to Earn cryptogame ecosystem.
For the closing of this Campus Party panel, the standard bearers could not be other than “Jihoz”, from
Axie Infinity and KManus88.
