The company Krafton, known for the development of the PUBG video game, announced this Wednesday, March 23, through its press page, the signing of a commercial agreement with Solana Labs.
Johnny Lee, director of commercial game development at Solana Labs said:
“We are excited about Krafton’s commitment to building the future of gaming at Solana.”
Krafton’s integration into the crypto gaming world creates a sea of opportunity, as its famous PUBG, reaches one billion downloads, which represents a gigantic audience that mostly have not entered the crypto world.
What does this commercial agreement consist of?
In the announcement made by Krafton, it pointed out that it established this agreement with Solana Labs with the purpose of developing and operating games and services based on blockchain and NFT. They will also share marketing, game design and investment opportunities.
In the last month, Krafton had already made the announcement of its integration into web 3.0 businesses and, likewise, investments and collaborations with partners related to the metaverse, NFT and blockchain.
Many believe this could mean the integration of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS into the Play to Earn medium, and while this would be something very promising, Krafton has yet to make an announcement.
The director of commercial game development at Solana Labs, said:
“Krafton is an established innovator in the gaming industry and we are excited to be part of their next level. We are seeing gamers increasingly looking for blockchain gaming and companies that respond quickly to this demand will set themselves up well for continued success.”
