Pixels announces Guild Wars S2: Spore Sports, featuring a $4 Million USD prize pool

December 4, 2024 – Pixels, one of the largest web3 games by daily active gamers, today announced the launch of Guild Wars S2: Spore Sports, a three-month contest in which guilds can earn their part of the $4,000,000 in the fictional currency known as $PIXEL. Following the success of the first GW event, this season offers improved gameplay, bigger rewards, and new unique factors to try and increase the players’ interest and the stability of the ecosystem.

The event spans December 10, 2024, at 7:00 UTC and ends on March 4, 2025, at 20:00 UTC, and offers rewards distributed weekly and seasonally, giving players multiple chances to win. Players will join guilds to collaborate on growing and harvesting mushrooms, sabotaging opponents’ crops, climbing leaderboards, and achieving milestones. Individual and team contributions are rewarded with $PIXEL, Guild Runes, and exclusive in-game items.

This season also sees the addition of T4 Ultimate Items: These are items that enable abilities that bring dramatic changes over existing mechanics and are created via new resources and mechanics in-game. These exclusive items can be obtained only by completing various tasks within the Cave Hub Map area.

Guild Wars S2: Spore Sports is open exclusively to Pixels Guild members. Guilds are part of Pixels’ strategy to shift from a grind-focused playstyle and implement more social dynamics and play.
