Minicoders is a platform designed to educate children in the basics of programming, through a metaverse where they play to learn.
The Minicoders platform uses games in the metaverse, through web browsers or applications, which provides children between the ages of 7 and 12 with logic tools and theoretical foundations.

This game works on Roblox, an online video game where users create their own virtual worlds, a metaverse of fun and learning.
In addition to the game, children will have video tutorials and virtual assistance to solve doubts and support the learning method.
Among the advantages of using Minicoders are the following:
- Improved collaboration between children around the world.
- They learn while they play.
- Progress monitoring by parents.
- Suitable for children with dyslexia or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Magic School: learning while playing in the metaverse
The launch of the first Minicoders experience together with Roblox was in early July, and has already surpassed 50,000 users in almost three months.
The name of the game is Magic School and it is developed with a magic apprentice character that goes through the metaverse exploring and solving challenges, about programming and logic.
Parents have special access to check the child’s progress and observe the security of the platform, with parental control.
To access the platform, you can go to their website and take a free trial or cancel monthly plans ranging from 4.99 to 34.99 euros.
“The use of regulated metaverses such as Roblox combined with technologies such as virtual assistants and video streaming apps allows us to offer children a more complete and effective learning experience than ever before,” explains Rubén Aparicio, co-founder of Minicoders. “This learning begins with the introduction of concepts, the resolution of doubts and the putting into practice of the knowledge obtained through the game, always with parental supervision.”
Minicoders is committed to inclusive education. “Our metaverse-based game experiences are genderless, as they are designed to appeal to all genders equally. In addition, we believe that the metaverse brings an important collaborative component to learning,” says Aparicio.
In today’s world, computer programming is one of the most in-demand digital skills and will become even more so as time goes on.
